Getting Started Process

Step One

Create Your Account

Click the Get Started button to create an account. You'll be prompted to complete our new company questionnaire, which is designed to allow us to learn more about your business and match you with the ideal BuoyPEO solution. This ensures that the services you receive are perfectly aligned with your business needs

Step Two

Onboarding and Documentation

Once matched, you’ll provide the necessary documentation for setup and onboarding. We’ll guide you through this process, ensuring all compliance and administrative tasks are handled efficiently.

Step Three

Enrollment and Employee Engagement

For traditional businesses, we assist with employee engagement and benefits enrollment as needed. If you’re offering benefits, this process typically takes up to 30 days to allow for setup and employee selection. For businesses focused solely on payroll, this can be completed in about two weeks.

Step Four

First Payroll Run

After all required information is submitted, Buoy will run your first payroll. For traditional businesses, this typically takes 30 days from when you select your BuoyPEO solution. If you only need payroll without benefits, this timeline can be shortened to about two weeks.

For 1099 Contractors

Contractors with an income of at least $36,000 annually and registered as an LLC filing as a Sub S or S Corp can join the platform. We run Gig Workers monthly, and payrolls are processed once a month. This setup allows for greater control over cash flow and funds movement between personal and business accounts.

Fast-Track for Gig Workers

Gig workers can be onboarded swiftly. Once the required documentation is submitted and the Contractor Service Agreement (CSA) is signed, payroll can be processed promptly. Unlike traditional businesses, gig workers become eligible for benefits after 30 days.
